Buhari, Sanwo-Olu In Japan For Africa Development Summit




Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the entourage of President Mohammadu Buhari following an invite by the Japanese Government, attended the 7th Tokyo Conference on African Development (TICAD7). The conference with the theme; “Africa and Yokohama, sharing passion for the future”, took place in the city of Yokohama from August 28 to 30th.


The Chief Press Secretary, Lagos State Mr. Gboyega Akosile stated that, the Governor was to join President Buhari on the third Plenary session of the conference, where the President was to give a keynote speech on Nigeria—Japan relations and takeaways from TICAD6.

The Governor also joined the President, alongside other dignitaries at a State banquet to honour the invitation of Emperor Naruhito for a Tea reception at the imperial palace in Tokyo.

Governor Sanwo-Olu however met with the Chief Executive Officers of some Japanese Conglomerates in view of driving investments to Lagos State.
