College Of Nursing Commences Online Examinations For Students


Lagos State College of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health, Igando has commenced its first online Examination for the 100 level students of the Department of Nursing. In a statement issued by the Provost of the College, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, the online examination was adopted in view of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic and the need to curb the spread of the disease in line with the State Government directives. While noting that the examinations will be held consecutively for students on 100 to 300 Levels with one week interval, she commended the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sonwa-Olu for the trust reposed in the College to conduct the virtual examination as well as the efforts of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab to ensure it was actualised. Orenuga recalled that in line with the State Government directives in April that all Tertiary Institutions in the State should embrace e-learning platforms so that learning can continue despite school closure, the College of Nursing took up the challenge using Envivo iClass provider for the e-learning programme to conduct its Examinations online.
