... As Lagos Island Local Government Undertakes Landmark Health Project in Oke-Arin
The Lagos State Government and Lagos Island Local Government have flagged off the reconstruction of the historic John Street Health Centre into the Oba Sanusi Olusi Memorial Health Centre. The groundbreaking ceremony, held recently in Oke Arin, Lagos Island, marked the 20th-year remembrance of the late Oba Sanusi Matiku Olusi, a revered traditional ruler.
The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, highlighted the significance of the project to the community, noting that the new health centre aligns with the state government’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and outcomes for all residents.
“This facility will not only honour the legacy of Oba Sanusi Matiku Olusi but also provide accessible, quality healthcare to Oke-Arin and neighbouring communities, including Idumota, Balogun, Oluwole, and Ereko,” Dr. Ogboye stated
