Terms and Conditions for Registration with the Lagos State Diaspora Network DataBase

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before registering with the Lagos State Diaspora Network (“the Network”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By registering on our platform and submitting your information, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

By registering, you affirm that:

• You are of legal age in your country of residence.

• You are a Lagosian in the diaspora or have a demonstrable connection or interest in Lagos State.

• The information you provide is accurate and up to date.

2. Data Collection and Use

• We collect personal information such as your name, contact details, nationality, professional background, and location.

• Your data will be used to maintain an active database of Lagos State’s diaspora population to foster collaboration, information sharing, engagement, policy development, and opportunities.

• Your information may also be used to inform you about diaspora-related events, opportunities, and official communications from the Lagos State Government.

3. Data Privacy

• We value your privacy. Your data will be stored securely and processed in accordance with Nigeria’s Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and international standards.

• We will not sell, lease, or share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law or for official state-related purposes.

• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

4. User Responsibilities

By registering:

• You agree to provide accurate and complete information.

• You agree not to impersonate any person or entity or submit misleading information.

• You agree to update your information as necessary to keep it current.

5. Network Communications

By joining the Lagos Diaspora Network:

• You consent to receive emails, newsletters, and other forms of communication related to diaspora programs, events, and opportunities.

• You can opt out of non-essential communication at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

• All content on our platform, including text, graphics, and media, is owned or licensed by the Lagos State Diaspora Network and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

• You may not reuse or republish any content without prior written consent.

7. Termination

• You may withdraw from the network and request deletion of your information at any time.

• The Network reserves the right to suspend or terminate your registration if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct deemed inappropriate or harmful to the community.
